Hello,

We are reaching out to inform you about upcoming changes that may impact your future Lightsail bills for data transfer usage through your Lightsail instances.

Any data transfer out of your Lightsail instance in excess of your instance bundle's data transfer allowance is subject to overage charges [1]. We determined that, previously, during periods of high data transfer through your instances, Lightsail under-metered your data transfer usage. This means that even when you exceeded your data transfer allowance for your instance bundles, Lightsail did not bill you for any data transfer overage or did not bill for the full amount of data transfer overages.

We have now addressed this issue, and the fix will take effect on March 18, 2025, for your data transfer usages on and after March 18, 2025. We will not bill you for any unbilled past data transfer overages.
